Frequently asked questions
How long does an agreed divorce take?
Before a notary, generally 30 days from filing (reflection period). In court, an agreed divorce can conclude in a single hearing.
How is maintenance calculated?
As a rule, up to 25% of net monthly income for one child, 33% for two and 50% for three or more, also weighed against the child's needs.
Can sole custody be obtained?
Joint parental authority is the rule. Sole exercise is ordered only on serious, proven grounds relating to the child's best interests.
